Data Engineer – Silicon Valley Data Science
Sunnyvale, CA

Data Engineering at Silicon Valley Data Science encompasses a wide variety of data challenges. We believe that each data engineer brings a unique and valuable skillset to the team, and value having a variety of perspectives when solving a problem. You will work with data scientists, designers, architects, and strategists in holistic teams, using your skills and knowledge to help our clients solve tough problems across the technology spectrum — including architecting, designing, creating, extending, and re-platforming their data platforms.

We enable our clients to treat their data as a strategic asset, and to use data to gain strategic advantage in their industries. We have worked with clients in many sectors — including digital media, consumer web, financial services, and business analytics — and are rapidly expanding our client base with forward-thinking, fast-paced companies in the high tech, software, and retail industries. Because we pride ourselves in providing the best to our clients, we expect our solutions to stand on their own as if they were a product we sell. We go through the same process (Continuous Integration, QA, Stress Testing, etc.) that any successful product company does.

As a Data Engineer at SVDS, you will have access to legacy and emerging vendors in data, as well as industry experts in the field, with whom our company has strong relationships. You will work with all of these parties to help us learn, discuss, and influence developments in the field. Because we want you to continue developing your skills and establishing your public reputation, and we care deeply about giving back to the data community, you will also have the opportunity to attend and present at conferences, contribute to the open source community, and create new generations of enterprise software.

We prefer local candidates, but will consider remote candidates.
