The Spark Summit was an event to bring the Apache Spark
community together. The second Spark Summit was held on Monday, June 30 through Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. Attendees heard from leading production users of Spark, Shark, Spark Streaming and related projects; found out where project development is headed; and learned how to use the Spark stack in a variety of applications.
is a Hadoop-compatible computing system that makes big data analysis drastically faster, through in-memory computation, and simpler to write, through easy APIs in Java, Scala and Python. With a fast-growing community of 50+ companies contributing to the project, this event is a chance to learn from the leading organizations in big data.
Spark Summit was a three day event. Day one and two were constructed of talks and day three was a Spark training provided by Databricks that included both into and advanced sessions.
